Gary Edwin
	Australian Academy Website: www.garyedwingolf.com.au Gary commenced his Professional Golf Career in 1961, firstly contesting Professional Golf events for some 10 years. By birth Gary was christened Gary Player, however due to confusion at the time (with another golfer of the same name) Gary changed his name to Edwin (which was his middle name) In 1969 Gary helped establish Canberra’s first public golf course (Capital) and assumed the role as Resident Golf Professional. He was actively involved in the course design and development and subsequent operations. Almost 40 years of experience has produced one of Australia’s best ever and most respected Golf Coaches and Golf Professionals. He has hand crafted the careers of some of Australia’s highest ranked professionals on the International Stage, including:

The Sultan of Brunei summoned him as a personal coach and later to the Brunei National Team for a period of one year. Bob Hawke, Kerry Packer & Robert De Costella all consider the Guru their coach. This is trivial to Gary who sums it up with “They’re all just swings to me”. He receives a greater sense of fulfillment improving the game of the weekend player and juniors. A test to his credibility is the rating handed to him by his peers. Gary has been given a AAA rating by the Professional Golfers Association of Australia, being the highest level of accreditation awarded. Each year Gary gives his time to fellow PGA members both in Australia and overseas with a vision of simplifying the golf swing, to the benefit of all players.
